Library of Congress Subject Headings for the Pacific Islands
by Nancy Sack and Gwen SinclairFor the first time, the authorized Library of Congress subject headings that are uniquely relevant to the islands of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia (excluding Hawai'i and New Zealand) have been compiled for easy reference. The first edition is current to October 2005; updates will be published each year in the fall. The subdivisions authorized for use under ethnic groups, languages, and places, the three most common types of headings in the list, are appended. The volume is issued in loose-leaf format for ease of updating. 144 pages.
